Sheri Galer, B.A. Mus., R.M.T. Organist & Choir Director
Sheri has been a part of the DBC family since 1974. She has been involved in music as an organist /Choir director/accompanist for over 20 years. She took a few years off to care for her family in the 80’s but seems to always make her way back to the keyboard/piano or organ.
She holds a B.A. in music from McMaster. Sheri is a piano teacher and part of O.R.M.T.A. Niagara/Hamilton branch.
She enjoys working with children and completed her early childhood education degree from Mohawk College in 1974. She was the founder/supervisor of Troy Tots Parent Co-op in Troy Ont.
Sheri has had a strong interest in teaching children not only to play piano but to sing. DBC kids choir is one of the programs she is excited about this fall. The children are the future of DBC and it is her goal to develop a strong musical program.
DBC singers include a mass choir made up of all ages which prepare music for special occasions.
Sheri is married to Wayne, who operates a family farm equipment business now in it’s third generation. She has 3 beautiful children and one grandchild. She loves to paint, read and spend as much time as she can with family.
